1. This license
This is the agreement between you and Loser Labs LLC ("Letterhead") for the fonts you buy in the Letterhead shop. Licenses are sold per use: Desktop per computer, Web by monthly visitors, App per title. Yours covers exactly what you bought, as listed on your receipt and at the top of the license file in your download. You pay once; it does not expire.
"You" means the person who bought the license or, if they bought it for a company, that company. "The fonts" means the font files in your download and any copies of them.
2. Desktop
A Desktop license covers the number of computers you bought it for, one computer each. With it you may:
- install the fonts on those computers, used by you or your staff;
- use them in anything you make that does not contain the font files: logos, print, packaging, signs, merchandise, documents, images, social posts, and video rendered on that computer;
- use them in work you sell, and in work you make for clients;
- embed them in PDFs and other documents you share, for viewing and printing only;
- turn letters into outlines or vector shapes for logos and artwork, and adjust those shapes.
3. Web
A Web license lets you use the WOFF2 files on websites you own or control, served from your own server, up to the number of monthly visitors your license covers, counted across all of those websites together. A visitor is one person or device visiting in a calendar month.
If your websites grow past your limit for two months in a row, upgrade to the next size. You only pay the difference.
4. Apps
An App license covers the number of apps or games you bought it for. Each is one title, on every platform it ships on, including its updates. The fonts must be built into the app so the font files cannot be taken out and used on their own.
5. Clients and handing over a license
You may make work for clients with the fonts and hand over the finished work.
If a client needs the font files themselves, you may transfer your license to them once. When you do, the license and the right to use the fonts become the client's, you delete your copies, and you no longer hold that license. Tell us at license@loserlabs.io so our records show the new holder. If you and the client both need the fonts, the client buys their own license.
6. Contractors
You may let a contractor, agency or printer use the fonts to do work for you, as long as they use them only for your work and delete them when it is done. Their computers count toward your Desktop license while they have the fonts.
7. What you may not do
- share, sell, give away, lend or upload the font files, alone or in a bundle, or let others download them;
- change the fonts, convert them to other formats, or rename them, and then share or sell the result;
- use the fonts beyond what you bought: more computers, more visitors, or more apps;
- use the fonts in templates, themes or other products that people buy to edit and reuse, or in tools where your customers set their own text in the fonts (such as print on demand or online design tools), unless we license that to you separately;
- use the fonts, or anything made from them, to train, test or improve any artificial intelligence or machine learning system, or include them in a dataset for that purpose.
8. Logos
You may use the fonts in a logo and register that logo as a trademark. The trademark protects your logo, not the fonts.
9. Upgrades and bigger licenses
You can upgrade any license to a bigger size and pay only the difference. For very large websites, broadcast, or licenses for a whole company, contact license@loserlabs.io for a quote.
10. Ownership
Letterhead keeps all rights in the fonts. You get the right to use them as this license says. You own what you make with them.
11. Ending
If you break this license and do not fix it within 30 days of us telling you, the license ends and you must delete the fonts. Work you already made and published under the license may stay as it is.
12. No guarantees
The fonts are provided "as is". Our liability is limited as set out in the Letterhead Terms at https://lhtype.com/terms, which also set the law that applies.
13. The rest
This license, together with the Letterhead Terms, is the whole agreement about the fonts. If part of it can't be enforced, the rest still applies. The version you bought under stays with your purchase; changes we make later apply to new purchases only.
